About Freelantools

Freelantools is a directory of data extraction tools, built and maintained by an independent developer.

What this is

Each tool listed here runs on Apify, a cloud platform for data extraction. Freelantools doesn't run the tools itself — every page links out to the actual tool on Apify, where you configure it, run it, and pay only for the results you get (typically a small fee per result, shown on Apify's own pricing page).

Why it exists

Apify's own search makes it hard to discover tools by what you actually need — most people don't search for "Apify actor," they search for the data itself ("export Airbnb listings to CSV," for example). Freelantools exists to close that gap: one page per tool, in plain language, with a real sample of what you'll get before you commit to running it.

How the sample data works

Every tool page includes a table of real output from a recent run — not mocked or invented data. It's refreshed periodically, and any personally identifiable information (like a host's name or exact coordinates) is stripped out before it's shown here, even though the actual tool returns it when you run it yourself.

Who's behind this

Freelantools is an independent, one-person project. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Apify or by any of the platforms the listed tools extract data from (Airbnb, and others as more tools are added).
